Moving in with Meghan meant moving in with weasels. She had
two ferrets named Dervish and Eris at the time. We now have four.
Fozzie was my xmas gift to Meghan in 2002. Sadly, Dervish passed
away in June 2003. In July 2003 Meghan picked out Ginsu. We used
our gambling winnings from our Vegas wedding trip to get Houdini
in November 2003. In December of 2004 I surprised Meghan by giving
her Illoigor for xmas after she repeatedly pointed out that our
house had enough room for another ferret. In late June of 2007
Eris passed away in her sleep.
They are "free range" ferrets as Meghan says, meaning
that instead of being restricted to a cage and given only brief
supervised time outside of the cage they get to roam about freely
pretty much all the time. Our home has thusly been 'ferret-proofed'
but they do sometimes find their way into cabinets and such anyway.
Most of their time is spent collecting and storing items under
the bed, sleeping, and wrestling with each other.
