August 31, 2001 Godsmack came to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. At the time I was preparing for my move to Austin, TX but held off a few days in order to hang out with band and crew once again. Scott, Fred, and Keith came along - the least I could do after wearing a full body groove into their couch for the previous couple weeks. The set and pyrotechnics were fantastic and, of course, the gargoyles were still there. This was also my first chance to hear the new album live, other than those that were being worked on during the voodoo tour. I was too distracted during the show to take pictures, but I did get a couple snapshots in the dressing room afterwards.. |
