Halloween Horror Nights

2002

Orlando, Florida

Oct 2nd - Nov 2nd

Our new stage at Maximum Carnage was actually on top of a truck - dubbed the "Bubba Truck" from last year's truck shows. It turned out to be something of a blessing, the increased height of it made the show more visible along with the improved lighting from the house entrance and fire towers. The layout of the queue line was also better for people to get a good view of the show the entire time they were on the line.

The new location also meant a new break area and cast to hang out with between sets. We were in "pod city" behind the house and Dr Doom's Death Drop. An area, which like the house had been fabricated just for the event - this was also where some of the worst flooding had occured during the storm earlier in the run.

We shared space with the house cast and the marvel streets characters - including the chainsaws. We had shared a break space with the chainsaw crew last year, so there were more familiar faces here.

During the days off after our first week at the new stage we headed over to Tampa to once again be guests on the Bubba the Love Sponge morning radio show. Bubba was fun as always, and very near 'lost it' when we demonstrated the powerdrill blockhead, sword swallowing, and gavage for him in the studio.

Before heading back to Orlando we made a return visit to the Dali Museum. It is an amazing and wonderful collection but, there is no photography allowed inside the museum...
